Description:

  • Providing technical expertise in the areas of architecture, design, implementation and testing
  • Applying and championing engineering practices (Clean Code) and Software Craftsmanship
  • Collaborating with business representatives to understand requirements, value, prioritization, and acceptance criteria • Being actively engaged in building out a dynamic and productive development organization and continuously improving practices and methodology • Mentoring and guiding others who are still developing their skills
  • Support and troubleshoot problems with existing applications

  • A minimum of 7 years software development experience, 5 years of which are Java/J2ee specific, is required
  • Thorough understanding of Object Oriented principles (Analysis and Design)
  • Candidates must have a robust understanding of Java and an in-depth understanding of other Java technologies, including Servlets, Struts/Tiles, JSP, JDBC, JMS, Spring
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies - Object-Oriented Javascript, AJAX, XHTML, HTML, XML/DOM
  • Full lifecycle development experience on large projects, creating distributed and scalable business systems.
  • Experience creating software solutions from scratch as well as integrating into a variety of legacy and package systems
  • Experience with WebServices (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, etc)
  • Experience with relational databases, non-relational and data access.
  • Familiarity with ORM technologies (iBatis, Hibernate)
  • Mentor and guide others who are still developing their skills
 
Qualifications :
  • BS or BA in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Subject matter expertise in the realm of e-business/e-commerce, retail stores systems.
  • 5 to 7 (not over 15 yrs) years practical architecture and domain driven design with Integration technologies (open source, Enterprise API) • 8 to 10 years of solutions experience in high volume transactional environments with mission critical services
  • Thorough understanding of Object Oriented principles (Analysis and Design)
  • Thorough understanding and exposure to Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment pipelines(CICD)
  • Has a DevOps mindset and is passionate about continuously improving organizational practices
  • Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical mind, and a proven ability to work with limited direction
  • Proficiency in (5+ YRS) Java and Java technologies (Spring, Springboot, Struts, Hibernate, JSF)
  • Strong understanding of cloud component architecture concepts (Azure or equivalent) is a good plus
  • Must have a good understanding of SLQ (Oracle) and NoSQL databases
  • Strong understanding of web services and APIs (Microservices architecture, REST, SOAP)
  • Experience with creating and maintaining Monitoring, Metrics and Logging for cloud on/off premise infrastructure
  • Experience with SOLR or equivalent search platform

  • Type of background: deep technical background, building out services scale
  • Interview process: 1st round – zoom; 2nd round – on site to meet with the team.
