Senior Procurement Agent/Marketing and Sales

The Senior Procurement Agent, Marketing & Sales supports procurement activities related to Marketing and Sales and ensures compliance to national contracts as well as oversees local and regional contracts and strategies.
• Utilizes internal and external benchmarks to optimize and document value, including quality, service and cost savings, generated across marketing and sales categories.
• Sources and qualifies suppliers for support of marketing and sales operations and programs.
• Supports Development and implementation of sourcing strategies across assigned marketing and sales categories, such as tradeshows, promotional items, collateral print and meetings.
• Executes procurement activities in accordance with Global Purchasing Policy as well as Finance and Legal Policies.
• Maintains documentation of all purchasing activities for review and audit purposes as governed by the Global Procurement regulations and record retention policies.
• Participates in the resolution of invoice, supplier, and/or receiving issues.
• Reviews purchase orders above (USD)100K. Ensures that contractual terms and supporting documentation are correct and in line with business requirements, guidelines, SOP's and policies.
• Provides subject matter expertise and guidance for procurement process and suite of tools.
• Participates in cross-functional teams that include various levels of management and corporate wide business units.
•Collaborates with Finance, Legal and internal stakeholders to negotiate contractual agreements supporting business requirements according to Merial's guidelines and policies.
• Provides direct support to Procurement Manager, Marketing & Sales, Directors, and Corporate Procurement on various projects, initiatives, and new product development
• Act as interface between suppliers and internal customers and ensures the procurement of Marketing and Sales services at the best market conditions
*Support of RFx and Contracting process

• CPM or CPSM certification highly desirable
• High level of understanding of the Source to Pay Process
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
• Proficient in any ERP/MRP systems (preferably Oracle)
• Excellent Written and Oral communication skills
