Senior SQL Server database administrator

Azure SQL Server support, performance tuning, troubleshooting.
As a Cloud Database Administrator within the Hybris Cloud Services Database Center of Excellence Team, you will be helping on engineering the DB (MS SQL Server and/or Azure SQL Server) solution to our services and maintain and ensure the performance of customer databases: including backup/restore, performance monitoring and tuning, high availability, security and easy to operate and maintain. Leveraging best of breed technologies, you will have a direct impact on the company's ability to succeed.

Your Responsibilities:
• Provision and support various database environments
• Provide assistance to customers in resolving issues and performance bottleneck
• Provide reporting on various metrics: availability, usage and performance
• Support performance testing and application benchmarking activities
• Continuous improvement of existing processes and standards
• Participate in documenting and improving our processes
• Provide recommendations and guidance for improvements of our design

Your Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a database engineer/administrator
• Good knowledge of database products
• Good knowledge of scripting languages/automation
• Good knowledge on performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Good knowledge on applications
Your Experience:
• Experience in working in cloud environment such as Azure, AWS or GCP
• Experience in providing or support database services in public cloud or private cloud
• Experience in implementation of best practices and performance tuning
• Experience with one or more the following technology will be considered as an asset: SAP HANA, Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience in performance tuning
• Experience in working in a high availability environment (24X7)

• Able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
