Daily Schedule: 9-5, M-F, will work weekends sometimes depending on schedule. Need to be flexible.

Interview - test of device and see if they can do it, critical criteria hire or not
College degree - fresh out is fine
Don't need to have long experience - biology, biochemistry, chemistry field is preferred though.

As we embark on this exciting journey, the Client Rapid Diagnostic Division (ARDx) is searching for a new member to join our Toxicology Assay Development team in San Diego. The RA (Research Assistant) will be an integral contributor to the team's success in developing/launching new game changing industry technology. The Role:
• Carry out and assist in the performance of drug screening and confirmation testing and reporting in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with the established procedures.
• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing
• Conduct moderately experimentation including data collection, in support of department research projects and guidelines.
• Perform specialized tasks as trained in an independent fashion. Assist senior level staffs in the establishment of procedures and research methodologies.
• Monitor and maintain necessary laboratory supplies, with approval by senior department staff.
• Maintain records of laboratory activities and notebooks in a professional, accurate manner.
• Operate equipment and conduct tasks in a safe manner, adhering to established guidelines and applicable regulations.
• Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies and senior staffs' guidance.
• Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job.

Education and Experience:
• BA/BS in biology, chemistry, physics or related field with laboratory coursework directly applicable to Immunoassays. Experience with lateral flow assays highly desired.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
