Vendor Master Data Analyst

The Vendor Master Data Analyst will be responsible for the creation and updates of vendor accounts to ensure the accuracy and quality of vendor master data as well as maintaining appropriate vendor documentation for audit and tax purposes. Includes name and address changes, as well as proper W9 and W8 information updates. The position will maintain data accuracy and cleanliness by performing data integrity checks and cleansing, training and supporting requesters, and researching and resolving issues. Role will require frequent communication with internal employees and international and domestic vendors.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Creation and updates of vendor accounts
- Review, validate, analyze and research vendor data
- Identification and merge of duplicate records
- Effectively govern critical data attributes, including but not limited to Names, Addresses, email addresses, bank details, HCP/HCO verification, account reconciliation, payment terms, partner-functions (ordering address, manufacturing address), and related key contact attributes
- Leverage analytical tools to identify, research, and correct/update data discrepancies, duplicates, and stale dated records
- Support other related Vendor Data Quality & Governance activities
- Interact with key business functions (e.g. Accounts Payable) and Vendor Master Data Manager daily
- Support ongoing data quality led by Data Governance Organization
- Identify data quality or process improvement opportunities

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Experience in Master Data Management, data cleanup or similar activities and/or responsibilities
- Understand the interaction between data attributes and business processes
- Understand vendor data components
- Strong / creative research skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent communicator
- Oral and written communication skills to support effective interaction with various levels of the staff and other outside parties
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Skill in proofreading materials to ensure accuracy
- Ability to work effectively with minimal instruction and supervision
- Ability to work independently and make independent judgments
- Ability to work with constant noise or interruptions
Preferred skills:
- Familiar with SAP
- Creative individual, capable of thinking out of the box to come up with solutions to complex data issues
