Staffing - Mechanical Engineer II

Title: Mechanical Engineer II
Location:  Kennebunk, ME
Duration: 12 months contract

Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 8AM to 5PM

Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Support the design and development of new product / processes or improvements to existing processes
• Obtain functional requirements from workstream owners and subject matter experts and develop mechanical designs
• Conduct design reviews with work stream owners and then initiate and manage fabrication
• Document all work product or design changes
• Complete metrology needs for tooling, equipment, plastic parts, and reverse engineering needs
• Support all work streams as a team member. Assist with all aspects of product and process development when needed. Examples include helping run the process, operating inspection systems, forming samples
• Mechanical Engineering (BS minimum)
• Required Years and Area of Experience (minimum required for consideration):
2-5 years' experience in engineering/manufacturing/laboratory setting and a track record of successfully solving problems and achieving results

• Mechanical Design/CAD
• Metrology best practices
• Documentation skills
• Ability to design and implement equipment and experimental apparatus (fixtures, test beds, tooling) with engineering first principles
• Proven ability to identify and manage vendors to complete fabrication. Owning the print-to-part full process.
• Must have developmental mindset and adaptable to change
