Senior Engineering Technician

 SENIOR ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN 


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Troubleshoots electronic circuits down to component level. 
• Under limited supervision, applies considerable electronics knowledge to perform 
a broad range of tasks. 
• Assembles PCBAs, cables, and electronic sub-systems 
• Performs complex soldering and de-soldering of PTH and SMT electronic circuits. 
• Performs testing following written protocols. 
• Verifies performance of electronic sub systems. 
• Maintains lab area in clean and safe manner, including equipment calibration records. 
• Utilizes collaboration/teamwork skills 
• Works in cross-functional teams with minimal supervision while completing tasks assigned by engineers or direct supervisor. 
• Reviews and complies with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations. 
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: 
• Associate's Degree in Electronics or equivalent. 

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: 
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in troubleshooting electronic circuits. 
• Soldering of fine pitch SMT components including BGAs. 
• Proficient using high speed digital scopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, programming tools, 
etc. 
• Demonstrate creativity, excellent problem solving ability, a "can do” attitude 
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks. 
• Must be able to work well with peers in a team environment. 
• Must be able to work independently and demonstrate good time management skills. 
• Must be capable of quickly identifying issues and provide design recommendations. 
• Must demonstrate solid verbal and written communications skills. 
• Proficient of Microsoft office products including, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio. 
• Proficiency with OrCad schematic tools and libraries a plus.
