Strategic Sourcing Partner III

The principal role of this position is initially to support our Network and Telecommunication sourcing function, working on projects that have a global impact.

The role will be a key position, reporting directly to the Director of the category.

The key focus of the role shall be on Optical Transceivers and Network Services (CDN, DDoS, DNS etc...), but also opportunity to explore DC Network, Edge, Network Security and carrier requirements.

The Strategic Sourcing Partner shall develop strong partnerships and nurture a positive business relationship with internal stakeholders and suppliers to clearly understand their business processes; short and long term business objectives; and strategic direction and goals while providing a high level of Customer Focus attitude.

Understand and convert the tactical and strategic business objectives of Strategic Sourcing into actionable tasks/projects, delivering results that enable the business to achieve their objectives.

Provide primary Sourcing support for internal business partners for sourcing requests including; contract negotiations, performing market analysis, provide spend data insights and recommendations, and develop business case for new projects. Exceed agreed upon SLAs and provide detailed reporting on KPIs.

Responsible for the overall success and management of all aspects of the assigned categories, including supply base management, supplier performance management, supplier business reviews, category profiling, all with varying degrees of complexity, and will be involved with all team members and business partners at various levels to effectively deliver strategic sourcing recommendations and solutions.

Lead sourcing spend studies, managing the evaluation of new business solutions and defining the cost/benefit and financial justification of country or regional projects supporting internal business processes.

Provide regular communication and training to internal business partners on processes and systems in the Global Corporate Strategic Services organization.

Drive cost savings through negotiations and improvement requests, with established methodology to ensure needs of the business are consistently met and deliver added value to the business.

Oversee and work with local legal team on the contract approval & signing process and suggest/recommend/implement improvements or areas to be more efficient.

-----Required Skills/Experience: - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. MS/MBA/MA degree desired.

Knowledge of network topology and it impact on a businesses success. Experience of working with network HW/SW/Service providers (Cisco, Cumulus, Akamia etc) and carriers (Zayo, NTT etc.) .

6+ years of progressive experience in successful completion of projects with varying size and complexity, from start-to-finish.

Global business analysis skills (i.e., requirements gathering, process reengineering, functional specifications) required - Project Management of teams in various geographies required - Skills in procurement, Sourcing methodologies required - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English: - Certification in purchasing management desired.
