Development Engineer
This position will be a part of the team building the next generation in DNA sequencers. The Development Engineer works closely with the engineering teams to develop and manage the assembly flow of
Chip-on-Board at our High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) suppliers. Duties include working closely with internal engineering teams for process development/evaluation, collect/summarize process data and the design-for-manufacturing of components related to the
Chip-on-Board.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Support material and process evaluations for process improvement & cost reduction
  • Conduct process and product FMEAs
  • Involvement in PCB design-for-manufacturing and procurement
  • Involvement in yield improvement projects and other quality improvement initiatives
  • Generate documentation and process specifications
 
Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Prefer 1-5 years experience in Process Engineering / Biotech areas
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in relating to both internal and external customers
  • Willing to travel to vendor facilities (both domestic & oversea) when required
  • Personal flexibility is necessary to ensure efficient execution of the plan and teamwork
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in assembly process development is required
  • Hands on experience in FMEA, Design of Experiment, Data Analysis, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
 
Beneficial:

  • Familiar with Solidworks and mechanical drawings
  • Familiar with Allegro PCB design
  • Knowledge of automated measurement and inspection systems
  • Knowledgeable of ISO standards and FDA regulations.
