** This is not contract to hire- but client based, and long term contract.
This position is primarily responsible for the organizing, filing, and distribution of project-related documents on a large multi-project construction program. These programs produce large amount of data and are maintained and shared electronically using Primavera Contract Management Software.
The Document Control Specialist will work with the project team (including our Client) to implement a document control system in line with our contract requirements. Some of the duties will include identification of document types for each discipline, identification of records versus working documents, setting-up a program filing structure, setting-up workflows for document reviews including contractor submittals, setting-up distribution lists for documents, establishing the construction library, configuration control and distribution of construction documents, training project team members for compliance, and leading the effort to turnover project records to our Client.
Accuracy and attention to detail are required to ensure that the most current information is recorded and distributed appropriately.
Responsible for set-up for multiple small projects.
Collaborates to set-up the standards and procedures for the team.
Communicates document system procedures with team members.
Coordinates documents with multiple engineers for project needs.
Compiles electronic project data books.
Issues transmittals to clients and vendors.
Processes vendor submittals.
Packages electronic documents for clients, vendors, and internal needs.
Notifies appropriate person of troubleshooting issues regarding vendors and clients.
Monitors workflows for the project team.
All other duties as assigned.

Manager is looking for a blend of Doc control/Admin
High school diploma and two years of applicable experience required. College degree preferred.
Previous experience working in databases preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Access.
Experience in construction related document controls.
Manager is requesting that this person have invoicing experience/ data entry of invoices
They need to know what RFI's, Submittals, and Transmittals are and what they do.
They should have experience with MS Office products and be able to communicate well.
Can look at candidates pay being in mid 30's hr
This position does not include per diems, so a local candidate is required.
