Services To Be Performed
Role & Responsibility:

· Black Box testing
· Write test cases for the new feature, modifying and maintaining the existing test cases.
· Understand and ramp up on QA procedures, guidelines and policies for newly launched feature and apply them
· Use software tools for QA, fix up and data capture on a daily basis
· Be proactive in identify issues, deep dive, troubleshoot, communicate to stake holders and escalation of issue and providing status reports
· Be part of a highly charged work environment

Required skills
A graduate in Quantitative fields such as science and engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and experience (2-5 years):
· Manual QA experience/Ability
· Ability to writing new test cases for the feature, execute and maintain
· Break the code attitude
· Good understanding in one scripting language
· High level of energy and proactive nature. A sense of ownership and drive and a willingness to accept the challenge of daily deadlines is essential

Preferred skills

STORY BEHIND THE NEED

• The Client Reader team are responsible for testing the Client for Android, Client for iOS, and Client on Fire apps. We are consistently developing new features, fixing bugs, and making performance improvements that we ship to our customers on a monthly cadence.
• We are looking to hire three temporary contractors to cover the leave of absence (maternity) of four QAEs on the team.


SCHEDULE
• 9-5 or 10-6.


TYPICAL DAY
• It can totally vary depending on the status of the in-flight features or if you are part of the release team.
• Activities include (but are not limited to): Team standups, test planning, task and bug verification, automation authoring/monitoring, bug triaging, investigating in-market issues, release on-call rotations, etc.


REMOTE WORK
• It depends on what flexibility is required. Ideally all candidates should be in the office on a daily basis.


CONVERSION/EXTENSION
• Yes, depending on when QAEs return from maternity leave.

EXPERIENCE
• Between 2-5 years of relevant experience.


BEST VS AVERAGE CANDIDATE
• Previous experience testing with mobile apps.


TOP 3 SKILLS
a.) Previous experience in testing mobile apps – Able to find issues, open bugs, follow them through to completion, plan and execute testing activities, etc.
b.) Technical ability – Able to gather logs, traces, execute, and verify results of existing automated tests, good understanding of at least one scripting language.
c.) Communication – Good verbal and writing skills and able to dive deep and subsequently articulate technical problems. High level of energy and proactive nature, with a sense of ownership and drive.
