PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
  • We seek a Technical Project Manager located in South San Francisco, CA who will be expected to manage both internal and external large technology projects.  
  • This position will demonstrate strong prioritization, organizational, executive communication, and problem-solving skills.  
  • The candidate must be detail-oriented, well versed in project management methodologies and project life cycles, skilled in a cross-functional matrix environment of technical resources, possess Information Technology experience, possess the ability to multi-task, and work under moderate supervision.  
Job Description:
Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks:
  • Plan and manage the execution of assigned projects and programs, which may include enterprise software development, operational readiness, datacenter deployment and relocation
  • Lead design and architecture sessions for new enterprise software products.
  • Validate that Client products adhere to technical requirements for accessibility, performance, security and overall quality standards such as ISO-9001
  • Aware of up-to-date Project Management concepts, processes, and technologies and applies these techniques in daily work. Actively participates in the project and development community. 
  • Apply proven project management principles to daily work
  • Assume budgetary responsibility and total cost of ownership analysis
  • Develop operating plans to support assigned projects and executing until completion
  • Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and identify areas for improvement
  • Report on project status to management and executive boards where appropriate 
  • Be an advocate for continuous improvement 
Job Requirements:
Job Specific Competencies & Skills
  • Product Knowledge
  • While a detailed knowledge of HCM Cloud product set is not required, must be prepared to rapidly obtain strong familiarly with core products and technology set
Technical Skills:
  • Solid understanding of Enterprise / Service Provider Data Center Architecture (high-density servers, backbone routers/switches, load balancers, SAN/NAS)
  • Data Center operations experience in a high availability environment
  • Solid understanding of IT security, backups and disaster recovery principles
  • Experience with VMware, OpenStack, AWS or other virtualization technologies and services is highly desired
  • IT security background and experience managing datacenter security certification projects is highly desired
  • Strong technical grounding and experience with Enterprise database is a plus
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations is a plus
Soft Skills: 
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability or executive communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to represent the Client internally and externally at a Senior Management level
  • Hands on experience in Agile Coaching and Enterprise Agile transformation is a plus
  • Experienced in both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies

Experience & Language Requirements
Work Experience: 
  • 7+ years of experience with the following: 
  • Direct responsibility managing technology projects or programs in a diverse global organization
  • Interaction with multi-national customer base and colleagues
  • English, Bachelors or Master's Degree 
Professional Training & Certification: 
Desired / Not required:
  • PMP or Prince2 certification
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • ITIL v3 certification
