  • Perform engineering and design duties in support of electrical infrastructure projects for petrochemical and large industrial clients.
  • Requires 3 to 5 years of direct experience and proven knowledge working on medium and low voltage projects (15kV – 480V). A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required.
  • The successful candidate shall possess sufficient engineering knowledge as necessary to perform protection and controls engineering, wiring diagrams, physical design, cable tray routing, grounding calculations, conduit and cable tray fill calculations, SKM, ETAP, lighting and lightning calculations, motor control centers, switchgear, variable frequency drives, and PCR building layout with minimal supervision. Duties include creation of drawings, bills of materials, specifications, and reports necessary to prepare a complete engineering and design package.
  • The successful candidate must be capable of communicating effectively with co-workers, and work in a team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work with project team to create all design documents and drawings for a project with minimal supervision
  • Perform Engineering tasks including PCR building layout, schematics and wiring, and cable tray routing with minimal supervision
  • Apply engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as SKM, ETAP, and CDEGS with minimal supervision
  • Understand assigned project schedule deliverables
  • Apply customer standards or use Process Industry Practices as necessary
  • Apply engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI
  • Properly use the document management system
  • Apply Client's standard engineering practices
  • Communicate and coordinate project activities with project engineer, project manager, and others as needed
  • Spend time at job sites
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of his/her work
  • Bring potential project-related problems and possible solutions to the attention of the responsible party
  • Travel out of town for short periods of time as required by projects and assignments
  • Other duties as required
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from accredited program. Minimum 3 years related experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience).
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered. Completion of FE exam.
