Periscope lets you broadcast and explore the world through live video. See where news is breaking, visit a new place, or meet people and share interests — all in real time.

Creators are at the heart of Periscope, and the Community Manager is responsible for developing scalable solutions to retain and grow our top creators.

Job Responsibilities:
This position works closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Operations, Editorial, Support, Product, and Data Science, and is focused on four objectives:

1) User research
  • Conduct ongoing and targeted user research
  • Gain community insights into specific features and product changes
  • Communicate actionable feedback to the Product teams

2) Audience growth
  • Develop editorial and product solutions that help our top creators grow their audiences
  • Marketing
  • Coordinate app store optimization efforts
  • Refine social strategy and create content for Periscope and COMPANY

3) Program operations
Operate existing community programs, including the VIP Program and the Super Program

4) Broadcasters program
Identify top creators, track on-platform trends, and develop tooling to better understand the community

Desired Skills:
  • You have 3-5 years community management (and/or user services) experience
  • You have a strong track record of managing projects from concept to execution
  • You're able to take ownership of your work and manage your time independently
  • You're extremely well organized, and love creating systems that make everyone's lives easier
  • You're capable of handling the pace and ambiguity that comes with working in a fast-paced tech environment
  • You have a keen eye for detail, and are a talented writer: telling a story in 280 characters is a challenge you enjoy
  • You're a great communicator, confident, personable, and comfortable working with internal teams and external community members
  • You're a collaborative and positive member of your team, and you treat customers even better than they expect
