Job Title: Portfolio Planning Analyst

Job Description

The PPA is a key role in implementing the new project portfolio planning process within US IS org. Under the guidance of the Portfolio Planning Manager/ Director, the role will help establish the key processes, reporting and data management activities needed to implement consistent portfolio management process.

The roles specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Establish and document a consistent process to track, report and communicate portfolio changes
• Coordinate the epreparatory work for the monthly US IS Portfolio Calibration meeting
• Develop reports to support review, assessment and awareness of the US IS portfolio plan
• Develop and maintain portfolio change log to ensure accurate process step execution
• Communicate the portfolio process and relevant changes to the broader US IS org including project managers and business consultants.

In addition, the role will support activities led by others including, but not limited to, the following:
• development of the FY20 investment plan
• addition of future project work (in-year pipeline projects) into Project Online
• development and application of a portfolio prioritization scheme
• identification and maintenance of cross portfolio dependencies
• financial forecasting of active and new pipeline projects

Experience needed:
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
• 2-5+ years experience in Project portfolio planning
• Educated to degree level (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 5-8+ years experience in IS / project support
• Project management and/or planning related certifications preferred but not required (e.g. PMI)
• Excellent people management and meeting facilitation skills
