Description/Comment:
We are hiring a contract payroll administrator to support our payroll and benefits administrators.
 
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, written and oral, in French Canadian and English required.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position for Canadian payroll.
  • Knowledge of ADP payroll processing / preferred system.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Word. High level of organization and reliability required.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in a preferred unionized and non-unionized environment.
  • Maturity and tact in handling confidential information of resources
Required Function 2:
Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and approval of hours in Kronos before submitting for payroll processing.
  • Review manual hours for systems that are not on Kronos.
  • Balancing Kronos integration times and updating schedules.
  • Upload payroll files to the ADP system.
  • Evaluation, approval and submission of ADP payroll overviews.
  • Work with HR teams to complete all applicable corrections.
  • Assistance with insurance and employee benefits registration.
  • Prepare ADP workbooks for download and payroll processing.
  • Sending weekly / bi-weekly payrolls to accounting.
  • Answer all questions related to employee and HR pay (including Service Canada or Revenu Québec). Revise and submit Record of Employment on Service Canada ROE Web for any ROEs not submitted correctly.
  • Holiday calculations and reports, in preparation for payroll processing.
