The Security Solutions Architect is a resource possessing a balance of architecture, technical, leadership, and communications skills. The SA is a key resource on projects delivering enterprise solutions to business problems and resolves technical and architectural conflicts across multiple technologies.

• Produce architecture artifacts such as solution designs, that combine and integrate multiple technologies, from conceptual to physical architecture layers and submit for approval
• Prepares and presents architecture documentation for the architecture review boards
• Align solution to existing business requirements, CLIENT's standards, and roadmaps
• Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to manage solution requirements
• Work with internal teams to provide technical guidance on solution implementation
• Provide policy and standards based security consulting to internal teams
• Participate in new technology or solution selection and evaluation
• Review and approve/deny change requests

Technical Knowledge:
• Network technologies such as firewalls, IDS, IPS, WAF, routing, switching, proxies
• Data loss prevention tools at the network and endpoint layers
• Cloud services such as: cloud based email, enterprise file sync and share, cloud access security brokers (CASB), IAAS, PAAS, SAAS
• Mobile and endpoint: Enterprise mobility management including MDM and MAM; endpoint security – anti-malware, encryption.
• Enterprise security tools such as privilege access management, threat and vulnerability management, and security incident and event management tools
• Encryption: public key infrastructure, key management, cryptography

• 3-5 years hands-on engineering experience with some or all technologies listed above (please specify technologies worked with)
• 1-2 years of experience in an operational role reviewing, implementing, and/or approving changes to systems
• Experience producing architecture artifacts: conceptual and logical architectures, solution technical designs, requirements analysis
• Experience in cloud service provider security assessments and evaluations
• Experience in implementing cloud services
• Participation in architecture review meetings with solution architecture and enterprise architecture
• Collaboration with managed service providers to ensure deliverables meet expectations
• Familiarity with NIST 800 series, COBIT, ITIL

• Bachelor's degree in an information technology or related area
• Industry certification such as CISSP or cloud security certification
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (SABSA, TOGAF)

Note: The solutions architect may be required to travel domestically and/or internationally depending on work assignment needs.
