Specific Responsibilities and Skills

The senior financial analyst contractor will be responsible for helping with month-end close & quarterly forecasting processes for expenses, headcount and expense consolidation as well as ad hoc reporting requests for the US Liver Commercial Franchise & Commercial Operations functions. This position is part of the US Commercial/Sales Finance team reporting to the Sr. Finance Manager, Liver Disease Business Unit & Consolidations.

Specific responsibilities include:
· Prepare monthly expenses accrual template and work with accounting to get the JE posted
· Update expenses close package to highlight forecast vs actual variances
· Update and consolidate the quarterly expenses forecast template and highlight the changes vs. prior forecast
· Actively track and highlight risks and opportunities for expenses vs budget
· Upload headcount and expense forecasts to Hyperion planning
· Track regular and ad hoc projects and investment actual vs. forecast spending
· Proactively recommend process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our reporting and analysis
· Coordinate expense commentary/template submissions for US Sales & Marketing expense & headcount to world-wide consolidations team

Essential Duties and Job Functions
Develop and implement financial reporting applications that optimize the use of Company resources. Support financial systems activities that require extensive knowledge of Company policies and procedures. Participate in new business process development within various functional areas. Work with business to continually improve and achieve efficiencies in their processes via reporting, automation and application enhancements

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

The preferred candidate will possess a minimum of 6+ years' experience. A BS or BA is required, and an MBA or CPA is preferred. Prior experience in bio-tech or pharma company is preferred. Solid in- depth knowledge of Business Intelligence, Planning and ERP systems is required with proficiency in Microsoft tools. Experience in high-growth and multi-national organization a plus. The key competencies for this candidate are:

• Experience involving coordination in implementing system upgrades, or new software rollouts desirable.
• Strong business partnering skills and experience. Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
