Description:
Contract to hire.
The Staff Electrical Engineer designs and specifies electrical systems associated with municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Electrical systems include low and medium-voltage power, lighting, SCADA and process controls, voice/data communications, fiber optics, emergency power systems, UPS, security systems, CCTV, and fire alarm.
Candidate will lead or assist in the execution of complex projects requiring the use of advanced techniques for the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and studies from inception to completion.
Candidate will collaborate with multi-disciplined teams across multiple offices.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Candidate shall have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program . Candidate shall hold a Professional Engineer license in the State of Colorado, or a license in another state and the ability to obtain a Colorado license within six months. Experience in the design of municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities is desired. Experience on other industrial projects such as oil and gas, manufacturing, or other related industries will be considered. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills. This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to a broad area of assignments. Candidate must be capable of devising new approaches to solve complex problems. Previous consulting experience preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT and other software packages, including SKM or ETAP desired. Working knowledge of the NEC. Applicable design experience could include power supply studies, power distribution, lighting systems, SCADA, instrumentation and control, short-circuit studies, coordination studies, arc flash studies for municipal and government facilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good command of Microsoft Word and Excel.
