Requirement:
  • ClientIC was set up 2 years ago and is an extension of ClientC (Client Corporation), and a completely separate entity from Client.
  • There are no Workday or automated processes set up, so all transactions and activities flow through Client systems.
  • Because they're a new group, they don't currently have an accounting group set up, so Jamie and Anthony have been handling accounting for ClientIC.
 
Reason for contingent headcount?
  • ClientIC business support has grown and will continue to grow.
  • Need a resource to absorb additional scope that was not anticipated.
 
What are the key objectives for this resource (project summary)?
  • Processing of monthly reclassifying journal entries.
  • Delivery of monthly report out of actuals vs. forecast variances.
  • Completion of quarterly forecast process, including template submission.
  • Accounting/Finance guidance on developing processes for new business initiatives.
  • Ad hoc reporting support for ClientIC/ClientC needs.
  • GL accounting, bookkeeping, setting up budgets.
  • Coordinating and interfacing with business units to walk through how performances match against forecasts, helping to set up new business units, setting up new processes for new business initiatives (who's paying vendor, how Japan gets involved, basically operational processes).

Must Haves:
  • 10-15 years of hybrid GL Accounting & Finance experience
  • Needs someone who understands debits and credits, what an accrual is, has a good accounting foundation, and is able to speak with national managers to obtain project and budget info
  • Experience with accounting ERP systems
  • Intermediate Excel – the potential of building macros when building processes in the future
  • Ability to facilitate accounting/finance discussions with non-finance team members
  • Knowledge in building budgets and forecasts
  • Resourceful in researching/investigating expense information
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently via multiple formats (i.e. email, conference call, video chat, face-to-face, text) with all levels of management
  • Ability to create/develop processes; Kaizen mentality
  • Ability to lead interdepartmental communications to establish requirements and develop solutions for project goals
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Project management skills – ability to think on their feet, build and manage processes, and lead meetings
 
Preferred/ Nice-to-haves:
  • Change agent; ability to influence change
  • PeopleSoft – need to understand how to query in the system
