Job Function

  • The Privacy Business Intelligence Analyst manages compliance reporting requirements, develops and maintains the auditing and monitoring process for Apex and other projects as assigned by the Privacy Investigations & Regulatory Manager.
  • The Privacy Business Intelligence Analyst is also responsible for collection, aggregation and complex analyses of data and findings for investigations, compliance assessments, and reporting. Additionally, performs analysis for the Client Privacy Office Privacy Compliance Report to Client Senior Leadership and the UC Regents. In collaboration with the Privacy Investigations & Regulatory Manager and other members of the Privacy Office, the Privacy Business Intelligence Analyst implements, monitors and maintains a privacy compliance framework to identify risks, trends, outcomes that support the consistent assessment, remediation and reporting of certain privacy compliance risks across the Client enterprise.
  • The Privacy Business Intelligence Analyst recommends and initiates implementation of remediation activities as assigned by the Privacy Managers. The Privacy Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the timely and consistent coordination of complex investigations (high volume and/or high risk), as designated by the Privacy Investigation & Regulatory Manager.
  • This includes supervision and facilitation of per diem and temporary workforce members, as well as contracted vendors as needed. The scope of responsibility for the Client Privacy Office and subsequently the Privacy Business Intelligence Analyst includes the entire Client enterprise consisting of all Client Campus Departments, the Client Health System, BCHO (Benioffs Childrens Hospital Oakland), UBCP (Client Benioff Childrens Physicans), Affiliates, Community Connect Partners, Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute, Client Fresno, Office of Research, Academic Affairs, Advancement & Planning, Administration & Finance and Client Members at Affiliate Organizations.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of business intelligence practices to lead complex projects requiring advanced analytics to support operational efficiencies and strategic planning. Resolves highly complex problems requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors.
  • Department Overview (please write a brief description of your department/unit that you would like to be included in the job posting/advertisement) The Client Privacy Office coordinates and oversee the Health and Campus Privacy Compliance Program for the Client Health Hospitals (including Clinics and Physicians), Client Benioff Children's Hospital in San Francisco and Oakland, Client Benioff Children's Physicians Group, Affiliates, Community Connect Partners, Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospitals and Clinics, Client School of Medicine Faculty Practice, Client Schools (Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy), Client Student Health Services, Client Fresno, Client Campus Departments, Client Human Subjects Research.
  • This position reports directly to the Manager of Privacy Investigations & Regulatory who reports to the Chief Privacy Officer.
  • The Chief Privacy Officer reports to the CEO for the Medical Center and the Chancellor for the Campus.
