Sr. Tax Accountant

• Prepare federal and state income tax quarterly estimated payment and extension calculations
• Prepare detailed workpapers supporting the federal and state income tax returns and use internal software to file the returns
• Research tax related issues using tax codes, regulations, cases, rulings, rates, etc.
• Maintain tax depreciation and reconcile tax/GAAP fixed assets
• Calculate the R & D tax credit including analyzing data, compiling the required detail and preparing the supporting documentation for audit purposes
• State apportionment
• Assist with external audits and notices through research and support documentation
• Independently prioritize and perform multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines
• Prepare sales/use tax reports for external filing vendor and serve as primary sales/use tax resource
• Responsible for misc. tax filings including property, VAT, excise, etc.
• Work independently, as part of a team and with others throughout the organization
• Adhoc tax related projects as needed

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required
• Master's in Tax a plus
• Highly Proficient in Client Onesource State Apportionment, Income Tax and Calendar
• Firm knowledge of GAAP and tax principles
• Strong technical and Excel based skills
• Oracle experience is preferred
• Solid experience with tax research programs (RIA, CCH, BNA)
• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changes in a corporate environment
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills are critical!
• Attention to detail and the ability to ensure quality of work through self review process is essential
• Minimum 3 - 5 years in corporate income tax compliance, multi-state, preferably with diverse entity structure (consolidated tax return with foreign affiliates).
• Corporate income tax department or public accounting tax experience with corporate income tax clients
