Position Summary:


You will be responsible for implementing corporate and regional human resource programs and activities within a defined country or countries to support global business units operating there. You will report to the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for a specific Business Unit.  You will partner closely with business managers in matters of talent management and development, coaching, training, employee relations, compensation and employee exits. You will also partner with regional and country HRBP and HR Managers in matters requiring local country expertise.

Required:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field is required.
  • Experience in leading HR talent driven projects designed to support the People acquisition, management and development strategy.
  • Strong presentation skills in the form of facilitating training sessions for managers and employees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist HRBP in the execution of holistic HR Strategy in the management and deployment  of cross-functional HR initiatives
  • Under limited direction, interface with the business often brokering with COEs for the seamless delivery of the People Plan covering workforce planning, talent assessment, compensation strategies and restructuring initiatives.
  • As directed, facilitate and train leaders and managers on talent reviews and outcomes covering 9 box, successor planning, development plans and business specific recognition programs.
  • Perform data analysis and analytics, interpretation and consult with HRBP and management on organizational/talent gaps, compensation, hiring and policy matters.
  • As directed by the HRBP, lead HR projects aligned to business and HR Scorecard initiatives.  
  • Provide insight and practical advice based on an intimate knowledge of U.S. local employment law and its practical application supporting a rapidly changing business.
  • Handle employee relations at all levels, including investigation of employee issues, understanding of state and federal laws, including employer responsibilities in support of regulatory agencies such as Department of Fair Employment Housing (DFEH).  Escalate more serious cases to the HRBP for the business unit in question.
  • Coach managers and employees on corporate or regional human resource processes and systems and act as a conduit to the functional HRBP and/or COE as needed.
  • Provide knowledge and analytics relating to compensation, benefits, immigration and work authorization and ensure effective, practical, low-cost solutions in partnership with the HRBP and Total Rewards COE. Partner with the HRBP and Total Rewards to ensure pay and benefits are affordable and competitive within the local market.
  • Partner with Client Recruiting Solutions team HRBP's to understand local talent availability. Assist recruiters and hiring managers to strategize in acquiring best in class talent. Assist in HR administration regarding local hiring laws and processes
  • In partnership with the HRBP, People Services and Total Rewards teams, execute plans to integrate mergers and acquisitions, to ensure legal compliance and to support the goals of the various business units present locally.
  • Work proactively within the company's matrix structure to identify, escalate and where possible resolve human capital issues in a proactive, smooth and effective way.
  • Contribute to initiatives designed to further promote and achieve high employee engagement.
