Sr. Security Engineer

This individual will perform the day to day tasks of a senior security engineer such as implementation of firewall rules, intrusion detection/prevention device policy management, and network access control. Highly preferred is the ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and manage multi-site firewalls and site-to-site IPSEC VPNs.
Experience:
Experience Managing Firewalls
Experience with site-to-site IPSEC VPNs
Experience with client VPNs
Experience with Check Point Gaia R77.x and R80.x
Experience with Cisco ASA firewall/VPNs
Experience with on-premises and AWS cloud security
Experience with many of the following: AWS, Check Point, Cisco, Confluence, DNS, Fidelis, ForeScout, HTTP, HTTPS, Indeni, IDS, IPS, Jira, Linux, NAC, NetBrain, Nessus, NTP, PuTTY, TCP/IP, Qualys, SharePoint, SecureWorks, SNMP, SolarWinds, tcpdump, Tenable, Visio, Windows, Wireshark.

Skills:
Strong hands-on expertise with a security mindset is critical to success in this role. The successful candidate must have demonstrated technical skill sets to maintain, troubleshoot and deploy network security technologies.
High level communication and organizational skills are essential to successfully translate business requests to technology and security requirements. The candidate must be proactive and take initiative to plan and deliver on short term initiatives towards reaching long range goals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with broad knowledge of security methodologies, solutions, and best practices.
Review and propose rule changes to firewall to ensure continuous operations. Document network security processes and architecture.
Responsible for troubleshooting firewall and VPN issues specifically with Check Point and Cisco ASAs
Stay current on the latest network security threats and vulnerabilities to take proactive actions to secure the enterprise environment.
Work closely with network and infrastructure IT teams to troubleshoot and remediate network and security issues. Respond to critical security alerts during weekends or off hours.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years of experience working in information security or network management related field in an enterprise environment
