Job Title: Sr. Inventory Strategy Analyst
Duration: 06+ Months Contract (Possible Extensions)
Location: New York, NY (10013)
Note: W2 Candidates Only
2-4 year work experience required. BA/BS required. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Marketplace experience in an apparel retail environment (stores and/or online) or supply chain / merchandising / inventory management industry preferred.
Additional Job Details:
Target Start Date: Beginning of March. Project Duration: Based on performance, if the individual quickly learns and demonstrates the responsibilities of the role, we would want them to stay on for 1-2 years.
Work Location/Address: 55 Thomas St, NY
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 hours/day, start time will be negotiated with hiring manager, generally our members start anywhere from 8:00am to 9:00am and work a full 8 hours.
Contract only or Contract to hire: Contract only for now, but if the individual performs at a high level and the company does well financially in the future it could lead to contract for hire
Describe the Project / Product (with more details) they will be working on? They will be providing functional support to resolve Inventory Management Planner issues they encounter while using our pricing and promotion application.
Size of the Team: In NY, total 6 including the new hire, an additional 23 in SF for a total of 29
Job Description/Responsibilities: What are the Top 3-5 Technical Skills needed to perform this role/job? o Experience using Excel spreadsheets o Ability to use and understand systems from an end user perspective o Not afraid to try new systems, applications and tools and learn how to use them from a functional and technical perspective Are there any Alternatives to the Top 5 Technical Skills: Excellent communicator both spoken and written o Good at troubleshooting/problem solving and likes to resolve issues for others. Customer Service oriented o Ability to be comfortable working with people from many different areas/positions from Product Managers, Developers, Technical Managers, Directors and Vice Presidents to most importantly Business partners o Ability to understand business partner issues and be able to articulate them to the technical teams in order to get the issue resolved in a timely manner. As well as being able to understand the technical teams solutions and articulate it back to the business partner in terms that they understand. Type of background you are looking for or prefer: Retail Inventory Management experience would be a plus, but any Retail experience, should not be just store experience, would be good. Pricing/Promotion experience would be great.
What will the interview process look like? o 1st round Zoom video interview o 2nd round in-person at 55 Thomas, interview with 1-2 people in each
Would there be any testing required in the interview? No, but they should be able to provide examples that directly correlate to the experience they provide in their resume.
