Job Description
Financial is looking for a Senior Information Security Engineer to work with one of its key clients. This is a broad role that will cover many areas in Information Security, Information Risk, and Compliance. Key responsibilities include performing security assessments, coordinating vulnerability remediation activities, assessing new technologies for security impacts, and facilitating third party assessments.

Job Responsibilities
• Conduct architecture reviews and security impact assessments for technology and software development initiatives.
• Manage application and infrastructure risk mitigation and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Support 3rd party assessment & audit activities.
• Ability to effectively communicate with technical and business audiences.

Candidate Requirements
• Work Experience: 5+ years of experience working in technical information security and risk management roles.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a technology field
• Prior experience to include:
o Experience working directly with external clients, business leadership, and auditors.
o Hands-on technical role, to include familiarity with server (Windows, Unix, Mainframe), network (Cisco), and security (IDS/IPS, CheckPoint, Web Application Firewalls) devices and systems.
o Working knowledge of SIEM systems (Splunk).
o Vulnerability management and system hardening.
• This position requires that the successful candidate must be a lawful permanent resident or US Citizen and pass an extensive background check.

Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree in a technology field
• Certifications Desired: CISSP, CISA, CEH
• Working knowledge of FISMA / NIST 800-53 controls a plus.
• Prior experience in Security Operations Center and/or Cyber Incident Response roles.
• Prior experience conducting application vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
