  • We are looking for a driven and experienced Senior DevOps engineer to provide full application lifecycle & deployment support. We need someone who can be the glue between operations, development, and QA by facilitating the flow of application development, and ultimately automating the process while collaborating with the teams to ensure smooth delivery of software from concept to production.
As a DevOps Engineer...:
  • You are expected to be passionate about automation with development or strong scripting experience, and comfortable implementing a CI/CD pipeline for Chef development using continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Github, Test Kitchen, Docker, VMware workstation.
  • Be familiar with Integrating services using REST, TCPIP, JSON and knowledgeable in technologies like Openstack, Docker, Mesosphere Marathon, Kubernetes, Terraform, HAProxy, MySQL, and Automic would be a plus!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Work with both developers and system administrators with a focus on build and deployment automation.
  • Build and support automation utilities using Chef, Ruby, Javascript, Inspec, Bash, and Powershell.
  • Design and develop a continuous deployment pipeline, integrating Chef, Test-Kitchen, Github, Jenkins, VMware workstation, and Docker for a wide range of server types across geographically separated zones hosted in Azure and Client data centers.
  • Architect highly available and scalable services leveraging Openstack, Docker, HAProxy, and Kubernetes. You should have expert Linux and Network administration skills to troubleshoot and trace symptoms back to the root cause.
  • Develop self-healing methods from within existing deployment processes
  • Strong understanding and be experienced operating in an agile development environment
  • Lead the charge in cross-team collaborations
  • Document and present methodologies to operations, engineering, and executive teams
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • At least 2 years hands-on experience with Mesosphere or Kubernetes and containers in Production Environments
  • Experience implementing CI/CD strategies and using version control tools like Git
  • Experience using a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
  • Experience releasing code using CA Automic Release Automation a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation solutions (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Java environments, Java Application Server administration and JVM tuning
  • Knowledge of MSSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL (Hadoop) technologies
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • Advanced Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems and Administration
  • Advanced knowledge of application clustering / load balancing concepts and technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of code and script (Ex: Javascript, Python, Ruby, Bash, etc)
  • Advanced knowledge of utilize database queries
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5 to 10 years' experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related
