Business Analyst - ServiceNow
Location- Denver CO
6 months with possible extension

Must have skills
  • 5-7 years of BA experience. Must have strong Requirements Gathering, Customer Interaction/Communication, Documentation, and Business Analytics experience.
  • Must have Service Now experience. Bachelor's Degree is a must.
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering related to Information Technology
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • ITIL Foundation Certified. Intermediate certifications or ITIL Expert certification are a bonus
  • 2+ years' experience in IT process management/re-engineering initiatives
  • Experience in workflow analysis, design, and process re-engineering principles
  • Broad business and management knowledge
  • Knowledge of defect tracking tools
  • Understanding of IT concepts (Like Files/interfaces, structures, reports, UI, etc.)
  • Understanding of Verification & Validation Techniques (Testing & Reviews)
  • Analysis Techniques (Competitive & Benchmarking Analysis, Stakeholder Analysis, Cost Benefit Analysis, Gap Analysis, Feasibility Analysis, SWOT Analysis, etc.)
  • Requirement Development (Elicitation Analysis, Documentation)
  • Requirements Management (Version Control, Traceability, Change Management)

Nice to have skills
ITIL Foundation Certified. Intermediate certifications or ITIL Expert certification are nice to have. Testing skills are nice to have.

Business Analyst with 5 years or more of Business Analysis, IT Operations, and Process Analysis and Design experience. They demonstrate deep knowledge of IT processes and frameworks (ITIL, SDLC, COBIT etc.), as well as SCRUM and agile implementation methods. They have experience writing and editing Process documentation and must be familiar with Knowledge Management.
Adapts existing methods and procedures to create alternative solutions to moderately complex problems. Uses own judgment to determine optimal solutions to recommend. They have a proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving. Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills are required.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for translating high-level business requirements into functional specifications for input into application activities. Additional responsibilities include the following:
• Interact with subject matter experts, application development, implementation support and production support staff to define functional specifications that meet users requirements and are technically appropriate
• Create and write stories based on analysis of business requirements
• Test and validate stories were developed to business requirements
• Assist in analysis and reporting of testing defects when requested
• Provide implementation and post implementation support
• Coordinate and report on project progress and accomplishments
• Write knowledge articles and documentation that describes features and functionality for technical and business users
