Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
The Manufacturing Technician will be part of a growing Operations team that supports Chemistry Manufacturing and Product Development within a BSL 2 laboratory. The chosen candidate will be responsible for executing manufacturing procedures and protocols within cGMP guidelines for production of cutting edge chemistry for bacterial detection systems. This position requires frequent interactions with various departments. Essential skill sets for the position include excellent written and verbal communication, strong execution and organizational abilities, attention to detail, thoroughness, and the capacity to provide informed and thoughtful responses in a complex and fast moving start up environment.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Assembly and kitting of diagnostic assay kits.
  • Assembly of in-process components.
  • Prepare, maintain, and operate equipment for manufacturing processes, including mechanical setups that may vary with each process.
  • Monitor process conditions, perform manufacturing in-process quality control checks, and conduct product quality control measurements.
  • Assist in assuring raw materials availability by maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Document batch records and protocols for lot manufacturing and QC inspections.
  • Ensure all regulatory and safety requirements are met.
  • Support general maintenance/upkeep of the lab and equipment.
  • Support other needed manufacturing activities as needed, as directed.

Position Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Higher Education with a minimum of two years experience within a cGMP-manufacturing environment.
  • Self-starter with hands-on approach to problem solving and the ability to work within a team.
  • Must possess an understanding and hands-on application of technical principles, concepts, industry practices, and standards, including safety.
  • Excellent computer skills - proficient with MS Word and Excel, Outlook and ERP systems
  • Highly detail-orientated with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple assignments with strong time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self directed start up environment requiring flexibility and ability to multi-task to firm deliverables.
  • Ability to interface on a professional level with all departments within the company.
