IT Security Analyst II*

Title: REMOTE (Unix Admin/ IT Security Analyst)
Location: REMOTE (Initial training onsite in Little Rock, AR,  Expenses reimbursed for training period)
Duration: 3 Months plus extensions

Job Description: 
Follow predefined processes to migrate Unix based servers into a centralized management system called BoKS.

• Works with server owners to gather information for targeted servers.
• Using gathered information, configure the necessary components for migration to BoKS.
• Analyzes and resolves problems related to failures with the BoKS migration process.
• Work with other teams such as firewall or Unix teams to ensure success.
• Maintain documentation as required.
• Must be flexible to work off hours to complete migrations.
• Educates internal users on the use of BoKS, processes, and components.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Fluency in English is a must.

• Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional
• Must have recent, well rounded, and extensive Unix administrator experience with Red Hat, AIX, and
• Must have strong knowledge of shell scripts.
• Ability to understand and apply technical concepts.
• Ability to solve problems using learned techniques and tools.
• Ability to stay focused on work and self-manage the workload given.
• Ability to work through roadblocks to get them resolved quickly.
• Project management is a plus.
• Basic understanding of installation methodologies and toolsets as well as networking
concepts and protocols.
• Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Flexibility, versatility, dependability.

Additional Skills: Intermediate professional role. Moderate skills with high level of proficiency. Develops and implements solutions that require analysis and research. Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments. Possesses knowledge in a specific business area. Works on one or more projects as a team member or occasionally as a project lead. May coach more junior technical staff. Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. May consult with senior peers on certain projects. Typically requires three (3) or more years of experience. Typically reports to an IT Security Manager.
