The main function of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make ATMs work. A senior level ATM software engineer typically has a Bachelor degree in computer science or software engineering with 5-10 years of previous experience programming ATM applications.

Education/Experience
Connex Advantage application programming experience – ATM / Connex Advantage platform ATM CED & load configuration knowledge / Basic knowledge of major ATM vendor software, hardware, and messaging
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required
Senior level – 5 years of experience required

Technical Skills
Connex Advantage platform ATM CED & load configuration knowledge – required
Connex Advantage application programming experience – ATM – required
Basic knowledge of major ATM vendor software, hardware, and messaging – required
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage one's time
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery
Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues
Telecommuting is not an option - must be onsite for ATM lab access.
