Business Analyst Position - Job Description
(Strong / Expert Microsoft PPM experience - creating, building, exporting, and maintaining plans that translate to visual flows / models.)

This position is based in Stamford, CT or
Bethesda MD with the ability to work remotely a few day a week. Travel is expected to Bethesda MD or Stamford, CT, once a month or as needed.

  • Senior Business Analyst for an exciting opportunity to be part of IT Integration team.

  • This position provides a unique and challenging opportunity to become a member of a dynamic and energetic team focused on the elicitation, documentation and management of requirements associated with our Program.
  • Using outstanding interpersonal and technical skills, you will be responsible for analyzing, validating, managing, and specifying the exact needs of the project stakeholders, customers and end users. You will develop a deep understanding of our products, system challenges and opportunities, in the context of the requirements and contribute to solution recommendations that enable our clients to achieve their goals in a timely manner.
  • This position is based in Stamford, CT or New York, NY with the ability to work remotely a few day a week. Travel is expected to Bethesda MD, once a month or as needed.
  • Analyzes business operations and processes to understand strengths and weaknesses and support identification of opportunities for automation.
  • Provides recommendations to users on appropriate solutions, along with guidance concerning the business implications of data driven reports from Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Develops requirements specifications according to project lifecycle methodologies.
  • Creates workflow diagrams to capture current and future state business and technology processes.
  • Able to communicate and engage effectively with a diverse audience, including business sponsors, executives, and technology leaders.
  • Skilled at facilitating communication across multiple business units in order to elicit clear and accurate needs of all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated drive for "learning the business” – gathering sufficient high level knowledge of business operations to be accepted as a trusted advisor.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify realistic, relevant solutions to business needs; demonstrates practicality and reasonableness in arriving at viable solution alternatives.
  • Ability to influence a diverse group of team members and subject matter experts.
About You
  • Required: Strong / Expert Microsoft PPM experience - creating, building, exporting, and maintaining plans that translate to visual flows / models.
  • Required: Strong PowerPoint and Visio experience – taking plans to create and maintain dashboard used by Executive Leadership and Project team.
  • Required: Strong self-management skills, including the ability to manage time and workload against priorities and objectives. Highly analytical thinker who can resolve problems and negotiate solutions that balance user needs.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to provide metrics on project status for over 100+ projects.
  • 5+ years of business analysis experience in large enterprise organizations.
  • Completion of at least two projects larger than 5MM each.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced, dynamic, and exciting environment.
