Unified Communications Project Manager

The Unified Communications Project Manager in Akamai's Enterprise Infrastructure Services (IT) department will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing all project phases to deliver a Unified Collaboration platform within Akamai. This will include building and managing project teams, reporting status to business stakeholders, and ensuring the project remains on track. In this role, you will work with key stakeholders across the company to plan and implement the Unified Communications (UC) deployment project on time, within budget, and exceed user expectations.
Responsibilities
Facilitate operational checkpoint activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify, evaluate and resolve high priority project risks.
Provide weekly and monthly status updates to the project delivery, governance, and executive teams.
Build, lead, and coach project team members throughout project lifecycle.

Desired Qualifications
Experience deploying a unified communication platform, with Cisco preferred. Microsoft Teams or SLACK project experience also useful.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Proven ability to deliver large cross-functional initiatives on time, within budget, and exceed user expectations.
Solid knowledge of program and project management principles and practices. PMI Certification a plus.
Experience delivering technical projects.
Experience transitioning enterprise, global services from engineering to operations.
5 years of experience with Program/Project Management or equivalent experience managing a technical team.
3 years of experience working with IT technologies.
