Job Description:
  • The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of Infrastructure and product initiatives as an integral part of the Client Cloud Operations team. In this high-impact position you will work closely with cross functional stakeholders and management to set goals focused on driving requirements gathering and planning against agreed upon delivery dates. You will bring a level of thought leadership for consistency, integrity and intensity into strategic project scoping, initiation, planning, implementation and execution. You are detail-oriented and able to understand the bigger picture by using your technical expertise and sharp problem solving abilities to prioritize and manage blocking issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with managing software development or IT-related projects.
  • Experience with managing a large-scale project lasting many months
  • Must be able to lead a cross functional team consisting of team members from various groups within Operations and groups outside Operations based on the need of a project
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be dynamic to embrace and adopt/manage changes in projects and be able to work in diverse environments
  • Must be able to present a clear project status to upper management on a timely manner
  • Experience and flexibility working with remote team members
  • Experience with developing and strategic planning for hosting mission critical business applications.
  • Experience with various systems development life cycle models such as Agile Scrum or iterative development models.
  • Experience with MS Project
  • Experience with managing / mentoring / coaching program managers or project managers.
  • Experience working in an environment using UNIX/Linux, SQL and Oracle
  • Good understanding of various technologies used for hosting large-scale web applications
  • Experience with planning multi-million dollar budgets.
  • Experience with capacity planning.
  • Experience with change control management and process.
  • Experience with planning and designing a Disaster Recovery process, and managing the disaster simulation testing
  • Good understanding of data security standards.
  • Experience working with development and QA teams
  • Experience with datacenter planning and expansions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage strategic projects for Cloud Operations
  • Lead cross functional teams consisting of team members within Operations (Production Operations, Sysadmin, DBA, Network Administrators, Tools) and beyond Operations (Support, Development, QA, Product Management, Legal)
  • Translate a high-level organizational objective to an executable project
  • Lead a project from initiation to completion
  • Provide upper management and stakeholders with timely status updates
  • Manage and control changes to a project by working with stakeholders
  • Identify the critical path of a project to assess and mitigate risks for meeting the project timeline.
  • Work with Development & Product Management on upcoming release & feature planning to align Operations projects
  • Represent Operations for coordination with Engineering program management
  • Run a weekly Operations project meeting to go over all strategic projects
  • Maintain Operations dashboard to track various organizational metrics for Operations in addition to project status
  • Work with the security team for security audit and certification
  • Create and maintain tools to track organizational metrics or enhance team productivity as needed
  • Mentor and coach Operations engineers on project management
  • Foster a work environment for team members to grow and keep morale high

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent.

  • Prefer PMP, CSM or other program certifications
