A next generation on-line marketing company, with over 1000 employees is experiencing aggressive growth. Headquartered in New York they're seeking a talented Manager of Engineering to lead a small team of developers, QA and designers.
 
Our ideal candidate is a selfless and passionate advocate for our developers, our customers, the success of our team, and the usability of our software applications they deliver.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead a 3+ person development/product team.
  • You will code, design and test about half the time.
  • Work closely with the product team.
  •  Iterate and improve development process by leading scrum meetings.
  • Develop, coach and monitor the performance of the Engineers on your team. 
  • Be involved at times in phone interviews, aiding in the hiring of talent.
  • Be in constant contact with development fostering transparency and clearly communicating business goals.
 
Requirements:
  • Have at least 1 year of managing Software Engineers.
  • Successfully building and communicating with your teams.
  • Have worked in a DevOps environment CI/CD.
  • Expert-level coding skills in – Java.  
 
Environment consists of some of the following git, Mercurial, Linux, Apache, Thrift, Tomcat, Java, Spring, and PostgreSQL.
