Position Objectives:
The objective of this position is to liaise between Infrastructure and IT communities, serving as communication,
Incident/Problem and Project manager facilitating business and IT initiatives. This entails communicating and managing business issues and projects with the appropriate technology teams, as well as conveying Infrastructure standard processes, procedures and initiatives to the business. The role also includes budget reporting, managing relationships with other technology teams and identifying strategic and operational opportunities for organizational improvement. This role would also be required to focus on Problem Management and report on progress of action items to Business.

  • Understanding of Governance (Audit, IT Security)
  • Knowledge of electronic trading.
  • Understanding of network topology and components.
  • Knowledge of application flows and their interdependencies.
  • Strong project management and documentation skills.
  • Prepared to take ownership and work with team(s) to resolve production related issues.
  • Good knowledge of performance management and capacity planning.
  • Proficient presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of drawing up budgets and head count reporting.
  • Knowledge of Prime Brokerage concepts.


Position Responsibilities:
  • Service delivery provider for the Trade processing unit..
  • Coordinates support, administration and engineering of the relevant Infrastructure and services associated to business line-(hardware, OS platforms, storage, network connectivity, database, middleware )
  • Organizes and implements projects to ensure progression and timely completion. Provide clear status reporting and escalation when applicable.
  • Accountable for budgeting, forecasting and managing business aligned cost centers.
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing avenues for cost savings.
  • Holds and owns weekly meeting with each line of business managers to assess project status, review outages, discuss new initiatives and provide weekly updates.
  • Identify strategic and operational opportunities for improvement. Implement and own solution until fully adopted by the IT organization.
  • Liaises with business and application development teams locally and globally to determine requirements.
  • Interact with application support and development teams to gather requirements. Work with Infrastructure system engineers to design and deploy solutions.
  • Manage major IT outages. Communicate and orchestrate between all necessary parties to facilitate rapid resolution.
  • Work with Change and Problem Management teams to document the incident using the following focus areas: Detection,
  • Notification, Evalutation of Incident and Response. Collaborate on Post Outage Report and shares with the necessary IT application and front office personnel.
  • Take the lead on managing major projects for both the LOB and Infrastructure. Responsible for the coordination of all teams involved in the project, as well as developing and adhering to schedules and properly communicating progress.
  • Communicate the technical initiatives defined within Infrastructure to the business and determine best suited approach to align them.
  • Interface with vendors and internal global technical teams to ensure the environment conforms to the current standards.
  • Ensure system reliability, availability and resiliency levels meet business requirements.
  • Ensure projects are implemented in line with IT Security and Infrastructure standards and policies.
