Business Overview:
The Enterprise Data Management Department was created in 2015 to setup, drive and continuously improve the way data is handled throughout the organization in the U.S. under the leadership of the CIB/IP Chief Data Officer. It looks to satisfy the requirements related to principles for effective enterprise data aggregation and reporting, and is intended to support evolving regulatory requirements. Specifically the team provides support to all other units within EDM (Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality) and also handles directly a number of projects.
 
The EDM Department has been established with the following 3 pillars:
  • Data Governance: set the framework for developing and formalizing the "know your data” culture including formal governance forums, data certification and attestation processes. The team also captures, challenges, and tests the control framework of the bank in particular through a risk-based data trace program.
  • Data Management: determine the data strategy for the platform with the objective of identifying and adopting golden sources, capturing and maintaining data glossaries and dictionaries, business and functional lineage from source to output as well as managing referential data
  • Data Quality: establish a framework to assess and report on the quality of the data used for reporting purposes and an effective remediation team
In addition the department is supported by the Transversal Business Support group that includes a Project Management Office and Tools & Processes teams aiming at defining the technology strategy for EDM and providing business analysis capabilities including process design and optimization.

Department Overview
The Transversal & Business Support Team is part of the overall Enterprise Data Management ( "EDM”) program which looks to satisfy the requirements related to principles for effective enterprise data aggregation and reporting, and is intended to support evolving regulatory requirements. Specifically the team provides support to all other units within EDM (Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality) and also handles directly a number of projects.
 
Responsibilities
The role will report to the PMO Manager and will be responsible for supporting the project management office activities for the EDM perimeter of activities. The position requires working in a virtual team and international environment and is multidisciplinary in nature. It involves coordination with other locations and divisions of BNP Paribas as necessary.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Help on preparing meetings – Managing the Invitations, room bookings & Audio Visual requirements.
  • Producing minutes for the EDM management meetings
  • Contribute to the coordination with ISPL Team for the weekly reporting package production and reviewing to ensure latest updates have been reflected
  • Create or help in handling EDM/PMO documentations (Trackers, Org Charts, Project Plans, Presentations etc)
  • Participate to the gathering of information within our department - consolidate presentations after data collection
  • Prepare team events – Team Building and social
  • Be a part of any new projects throughout their lifecycle
  • Maintain the Team Shared Mailbox (NA EDM)
  • Maintain and ensure regular updates to the contact list for EDM Teams (BCM)
  • Help in the documentation of the current EDM activities (Procedures)
  • Assist in the migration of documentation from Project to BAU SharePoint site
  • Supporting any other project/admin tasks as required
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Willing to learn aspects of the financial industry and related products focused on investment banking or asset management
  • Good Organization/Soft  skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work with a distributed multinational and multicultural teams
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a variable workload
  • Effectively conveys the message in both written and verbal business discussions
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
