Storeroom clerk job may encompass many different activities at GMI. Responsible for performing daily tasks such as filing, recording, maintaining records, copying, posting, and other similar duties, using a computer terminal, and other word processors. Follows organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Tasks include ensuring timely ordering and reordering of parts, working with Maximo system and maintaining accurate records and control reports. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the clerical field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Will need to gain a full understanding of the General Mills parts specification and labeling process, summarize and report project activity, bring forward new ideas on process improvements. Works under immediate supervision.

Some experience using programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be capable of efficient and accurate data entry related tasks. Experience using scanners, Client machines and printers will be required. Must be highly organized, pro-active and a self-starter. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Must have the ability to work with detailed information, prioritize tasks, be results oriented and have excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to work well under pressure. Needs to be able to maintain organized and accurate files. This job requires the candidate to be an English speaker with strong communication skills. 0 - 2 years experienced will be required.
