Duties:
Ensures graphics labeling activities for development and marketed products are achieved according to the agreed schedules and commercial objectives.

Develops concepts for packaging and /or promotional needs. This includes projects for both NDA and ANDA pharmaceutical packaging as well as for contract customers.
Reviews project requirements as documented in Change Control for labeling, or through creative brief for marketing and corporate communication.
Provides client with layout for draft review when required.
Generates digital art files from concept to production, including layout, package template and spec verification, typesetting, font administration, graphic placement and file management.
Prepares PDF files of packaging components for processing through documentation system for electronic review and approval process.
Delivers art files to client and / or supplier within specified timeline and budget as required.

  • Ability to work under tight deadline pressure and handle multiple projects.
  • Possess proven expertise in Macintosh software (QuarkXpress, Adobe CS5 -- Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.). Must be comfortable with PC Programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.¬タᄁ Processes digital artwork files for release to print vendors while maintaining file security through electronic processing and replication.
  • Must have ability to take and follow directions. Familiarity with pharmaceutical guidelines (FDA CGMP) required.
  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, be a team player and have a meticulous eye for details.

Keywords:
Education: Education and/or Experience:
  • 5+ years of prior experience in graphic design (preferably in a the pharmaceutical industry), desktop publishing, to include the CS Design Suite of programs. Must have prior experience in Mac based software. Degree in Graphic Design preferred.
Language Skills:
  • English required good written and oral skills.
Reasoning Ability:
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients and vendors. Must be a team player with a sense of urgency and responsibility.

Computer Skills:
Extremely proficient in Macintosh programs: Illustrator, Quark, Photoshop.
Must know Word, Excel and PowerPoint
