Summary:

We are seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Senior Research Associate or Associate Scientist to support discovery biology projects using standard mammalian cell-based experimental techniques and the development of cell-based assays.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform experimental research related to one or more programs.
Design research protocols in collaboration with the principal investigator.
Maintain an accurate, comprehensible, current laboratory notebook.
Train others on new skills and procedures.
Communicate results in written and oral presentations. Write protocols, procedures, and technical reports.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

Applicants should have completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Biochemistry, or a similar field, with four or more years of wet lab research experience. Successful candidates will be able to conduct experimental protocols with minimal supervision and analyze and troubleshoot experiments, with exceptional attention to detail. Candidates should demonstrate a strong background in cell and tissue culture, immunoassays, flow cytometry, SDS-PAGE and immunoblot, and microscopy. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Photoshop, statistical programs, and other scientific programs would be helpful. Candidates must have excellent organizational and time management skills, and be willing to work occasional weekend and evening hours. Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to multi-task are essential.
