BACKGROUND
Currently the desktop support team provides day-to-day computer support for DPA for over 400 desktops, laptops, and mobile computers deployed 3 primary locations for DPA. Due to lack of sufficient DSS staff to meet the needs of supporting the large number of PCs and peripherals DPA DSS must use contract work to close this gap in support capability.

PURPOSE
Need high quality end-user IT support, which includes the installation, operation and maintenance of IT user desktop hardware and software. The current full time DSS staff member who supports DPA will be leaving April 7th. Need a contractor to fill in the gap until a full time DSS technician is hired and trained.

SCOPE
The Vendor shall be responsible for providing qualified candidates to:
  • Provide technical assistance for user questions/issues on Windows XP and 7 and Microsoft Office 2003 and 2010
  • Resolve computer problems
  • Image computers using FOG Open Source software
  • Install and perform minor repairs to computers and peripheral equipment
  • Set up equipment for employee use
  • Maintain records of daily hardware installations
  • Perform DoD wipe of surplus equipment
  • Update/create documentation and processes
