Experience Level: (Intermediate, 1 - 3 Years Experience). Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. May require an associates degree in a related area or 1 - 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
This position requires all candidates to work in both the capacity of a Configuration Engineer and Inventory Control Specialist. Willingness to work a flexible work week in regards to the number of hours per week, 30 40. Those candidates that present the strongest work ethics will secure the more hours per week up to 40 maximum on a consistent basis.
Perform system configurations leveraging detailed instructions for new and refreshed machines. The loading of standard client images, set-up and configuration of machine, installing additional standard and non-standard applications leveraging SCCM environment. The role is based in Westborough, MA may will require trips to an additional location in Southborough, MA.
Experience in a corporate networked environment
Advanced working knowledge of current PC technology, Windows XP and 7
Excellent customer service skills
Extremely Detail Focused with the ability to follow documented procedures.
Must be able to work in a team environment, be flexible and have the ability to multitask by configuring several systems at the same time
Candidates are required to have strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
A+ certifications preferred.
Inventory Control Specialist
Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased. Candidate must ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by following detailed instructions. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts and practical experience with call management data base system (Remedy), Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel applications. Must be willing to work in a fact pace environment with the ability to lifting materials weighing up to 60 lbs. Candidate will work under immediate supervision of a supervisor who will provide work assignments, expect candidates to report back when immediately upon completion of assignments or when there are issues which need to be addressed. The ability to work independently once trained is a must.
The ability to move large amounts of materials throughout the day possibly the entire shift.
Verify Packing slip information against the associated purchase order. Troubleshoot and resolve routine accounting, purchasing problems or discrepancies. Bring non-routine issues to the supervisor's attention.
Prepare and ship packages by entering shipping instructions into Call Management System and ensure proper shipment.
Complete all necessary filings of work paper in a timely and accurate manner.
Retrieve information on the movement of materials from packing slips, release records, parts lists and other resources in a timely and accurate manner.
Enter and track material movement in the various automated databases. Track incoming receipt and movement of materials into and out of stock.
Create and maintain spreadsheets for auditing and reporting purposes to be provided to the Asset Management Group
Ensure hard drives are erased of proprietary information through the documented procedures.
Retire returned assets in the current asset tracking management system.
Prepare and maintain pallets of computer equipment to be returned to the leasing
