Update from Mgr on May 3rd: to date, most of the rejected resumes either have no analytics skills, where SEO was only a line item deep in the description of their last role, or they were heavily involved in writing posts and digital marketing, which would be great for the commercial side of the business, but we are corporate branding and don't need to market. What we need is someone with the primary skill set for running metrics to pull reporting, through analytics provide recommendations to increase the corporate website search engine rankings organically, and know enough WordPress CMS to implement those recommendations directly. Junior SEO Specialist / Web Producer, Digital Communications

Job Description:

The Junior SEO Specialist / Web Producer supports Client's Digital Communications Team in the SEO strategy, goals and performance of the Corp and Country affiliate sites on the WordPress platform, website management, development coordination and other digital projects as assigned.
Liaising with country affiliates in EMEA and America regions, including training, with additional support to the APAC leads. Primary role will require creating visual metrics reports as well as analysis on content strategy, link building and meta description strategy along with review and implementation of changes to maximize the traffic to websites by improving page rank within search engines.
Secondary role will require hands-on content editing for stakeholder requests on WordPress CMS with experience using HTML5/CSS3 and responsive design (media queries); project tracking using in-house Digital Request system on SharePoint; image manipulation using Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop. If you're coming off a great 1-2 years tackling SEO for a company or agency and are ready for the challenge of establishing organic search, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

- Track, report, and analyze website analytics on a monthly basis
- Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations to copy and landing pages
- Follow on-page, off-page and content marketing best practices (including title tags, canonical tags, ALT tags, meta data, redirects (301, 302), robots.txt, sitemaps, backlinks etc.).
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, meta descriptions, expansion and optimization
- Recommend best practices to Dev Teams on website architecture and Editorial teams on content, linking and other factors to improve SEO standings.
- Work closely with Digital Communications Team to liaise with content owners, governance and legal departments to ensure integrity and accuracy of content and develop effective site support of ongoing activities, as well as special projects.
- Ensure that comprehensive and timely non-WordPress approvals occur consistently, prior to the approval-required content being published.
- Help create a mutually supportive environment and community practice through collaboration

Experience: 1-2 years relevant experience.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in New Media Communications/Digital Marketing preferred.

Skills:

- WordPress content management experience preferred.
- Proven SEO experience and website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, OSE, Majestic, Screaming Frog, etc.)
- Prepare and analyze reports on web and mobile traffic along with ability to translate data, other key metrics and customer engagement into useful insight.
- Work closely with content contributes to guide them how to write, edit, and maintain web content to maximize SEO.
- On top of the latest search trends and willing to tackle a SEO challenge in any industry.
- Website HTML, CSS, specifically responsive design skills, preferred.
- Basic design skills preferred for ad hoc banner, tiles and button work (should have an online website design portfolio they can share)
- Experience using web and design apps in Adobe Creative Suite, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.
- Strong verbal communication skills, excellent writing and editing skills required.
- Highly IT literate with a thorough understanding of Microsoft packages, especially Microsoft Office.
- Must have ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Provide technical support for business line web and digital projects as required.
- Must desire to work and thrive in a team-oriented work environment.
