The Wellness team is looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to join our diverse and skilled group of scientists focusing on ChapStick and related topical product development. The role will be in support of product design technical leads in the planning & execution of development work streams. Individuals are expected to demonstrate solid technical, organizational, and communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to efficiently multi-task in contribution to varied project timelines simultaneously. He or she may assume a supportive role in workgroups, sub-teams, and other initiatives.

Global R&D Product Design

• Support senior technical leads on active projects and technology initiatives
• Author and execute formulation laboratory experiments and other technical documents, including use of electronic laboratory notebook software
• Build relationships and work closely with business partners on specified projects and programs
• Manage raw material & equipment inventory in addition to daily product design laboratory functions.
• Provide support in the development and transfer of product formulations to internal and external production facilities
• Perform document & data collection and review; effectively communicate observations and findings to supervisor.
• Execute and manage developmental stability programs to assess viability of new formulations
• Assist in sample preparation and execution of consumer study research.

• Assures awareness and performs job responsibilities in compliance with current and developing regulations, regulatory agencies, and with corporate policies.
• Completes current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and/or safety trainings, as applicable to job requirements

Candidates must have a science degree (BS) in a relevant field:
• BS degree with 0-3 years of related experience in a physical science capacity.

Possesses proven written and oral communication skills and necessary organizational skills.

Physical/Mental Requirements:
Sitting for extended periods of time at a desk or table to complete documentation and computer work; Standing for extended periods of time at a lab bench to complete product formulation activities; ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
