Start Date / End Date: 11/06/2017 to 11/05/2018
Our analytical research and development team is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated scientist to further develop and optimize LC/UV, LC/MS, and LC/MS/MS multi-attribute methods for characterization of protein therapeutics in our development pipeline. Primary functions of this role include sample preparation, data analysis and interpretation of results, method optimization, and contributing to team discussions.

The candidate should be skilled in assay development particularly for biotherapeutics or other protein samples. Independent work will be required in a laboratory setting using peptide mapping RP-HPLC with UV and/or MS detection. Acute attention to detail is needed for the role. The applicant must be able to follow standard operating procedures, prepare and analyze protein samples, and methodically choose new protocol parameters during method optimization.

The qualifications for this position include a minimum of a B.S. in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or related field with 3-5 years’ experience; or a Master’s degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry or related field with 1-3 years’ experience. The qualified candidate must have knowledge in protein biochemistry and/or protein analytics, and he or she should have expertise in one or more protein characterization tools, including mass spectrometry, chromatographic separations, or other biophysical techniques. Candidates with a consistent record of scientific achievement and a passion for innovation are encouraged to apply.
