Description
Purpose: Supplier will provide services to Client or Client’ client as defined below on a flat rate.

Designs, implements, evaluates and audits project management processes and templates for the project management office (PMO). Compiles metrics relating to IT project success, project attributes, and individual productivity and adherence to defined processes. May track costs and performance, service levels and other metrics required to ensure project goals and objectives are met. Serves as a resource to project managers and project leaders to educate and assist them with implementing project management processes and making improvement/changes. Provides administrative support to project managers and project leaders. Ensures project control systems are in place and integrates project data for decision makers. Administers and maintains project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project Server). Organizes and publishes project-related documentation in various sources. Knowledge of project management tools, methods and best practices such as those defined by the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 7 to 10 years of project support/management experience.

Senior Level Data Center program manager is responsible to plan, lead and manage the successful delivery of Data Center Transition and Consolidation activities. This senior resource needs to be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment, familiar with governing disruptive technologies, managing multiple vendors, contractors and technology disciplines, while communicating to both business and technology resources. This resource is also responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple concurrent Data Center Migration Projects which delivers Virtualization, Application Refreshes, Quality Assurance, and Compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Strong client facing skills and an acute understanding of consulting. • Data center consolidation, virtualization project consolidating multiple global DC’s to Single/Dual DC. • Develop and maintain detailed project plans while adhering to Data Center Operations project methodology with associated migration workbooks developed. • Ensure that projects meet timeline and budget requirements. • Assess and coordinate infrastructure upgrades (if applicable) and server / telecom/ backup and restore / storage / mainframe / tools / network / disaster recovery requirements. • Prepare and effectively communicate appropriate reports and updates to management • Facilitate the resolution of issues / risks and escalate issues to project stakeholders as required • Ensure all appropriate documentation, requirements, design and test specifications and other required deliverables are created and reviewed/approved by external and internal stakeholders • Achieve project milestones through regular cross-functional project meetings to review schedule, status, issues and to ensure conflict resolution and risk mitigation • Manage project scope and document scope changes in order to obtain approval for incremental costs prior to performing work • Lead migrations in coordination with client so as to minimize impact to business operations (may include evening and weekends) Requirements Experience and Education: • Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple concurrent projects directed toward strategic business activities for high availability data center infrastructure based installation, migration, and consolidation projects. • Project Management of Integrations/Consolidation of Legacy Data Centers across regions to Central DC of Customer/Client. • Strong VMware Migration, Server Migrations (P2P, P2V, or V2V), Application Interface Assessment, Backup and Restore, Routers and Switches Migration, Server Migration, Racks / Cabinets, Security Devices. • Be able to construct a migration planning workbook, detailing Excel, MS Project and resource details for each individual installation event, as a guideline to follow for migration success. • Manage all aspects of the project implementations including project rollouts, resource tracking, budget management, schedule development, cost/ budget analysis, cross discipline coordination and communications. • Deep understanding of project management methodology (e.g. - PMBOK) • Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and ongoing project analyses to stakeholders relating to tracking progress through implementation hardware and software life cycles. • Strong facilitation skills and documentation of decisions. • Design, Build, and Setup of infrastructure environment to support transition activities
