The Associate Research Scientist is responsible for the analysis of polymers, polymer synthesis intermediates and hydrogel polymer materials. They are also responsible for assisting in the development of various analytical methods including, but not limited to spectroscopy (IR, Raman, UV-vis), HPLC, and GC. In addition to these focus areas, the scientist is expected to partner closely with cross-functional team members throughout the organization.

Major Accountabilities:
Sample preparation
Analysis by HPLC, GC, spectroscopy (IR, Raman, UV-vis) and other techniques of raw materials, intermediates and hydrogel polymers
Statistical evaluation of analytical data
Communication and collaboration with research and development technical team members across multiple functions
Organization of laboratory, data, and records as needed
Report writing
Key Performance Indicators:
Timely achievement and effective communication of experimental results and resultant conclusions
Effective collaboration with cross functional team members
Compliance with all regulatory, quality, and safety requichemirements
Experience:
Experience with Waters Empower software
Basic statistics
cGxP experience
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word; excellent technical writing skills
Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, spectroscopy (IR, Raman, UV-vis) and data handling (required) in an industrial laboratory setting (preferred)

BS degree in Chemistry or related field with 4+ years of experience or MS degree with 2+ years of experience
