Responsible for interviewing IT staff and writing standard operating procedures for the following groups:
Provide primary support of our internal documentation library, including recommendations for improved document management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating technical documents and manuals, explaining complex information in a clear and concise manner, and working with IT and cyber security professionals to ensure completeness and accuracy of planning, past-performance, and procedural documentation.
Responsible for developing templates and ensuring regular maintenance of IT documentation.
Translates technical and/or complicated information into clear, concise documents appropriate for various target audiences.
Interviews subject matter experts and technical staff to collect information, prepare written text, and coordinate layout and material organization.
Researches information such as diagrams, inventories, equipment and test specifications, etc. to fill any gaps.
Reviews and edits documentation including design documents, developer notes and system overviews.
Responsibilities may include maintenance of internal documentation library, and providing and/or coordinating special documentation services as required.
Strong IT knowledge and background
Experience in participating and leading document walkthroughs involving editing and mark-up during the walkthrough
3 to 5 years of business or technical writing experience
Proven experience writing standard operating procedures
