  • Responsible for interviewing IT staff and writing standard operating procedures for the following groups:
    • Information Security
    • IT Helpdesk
    • Application Development
    • IT Operations
    • PMO
    • Business Solutions
    • IT Training
    • Quality Assurance
  • Provide primary support of our internal documentation library, including recommendations for improved document management.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for creating technical documents and manuals, explaining complex information in a clear and concise manner, and working with IT and cyber security professionals to ensure completeness and accuracy of planning, past-performance, and procedural documentation.
  • Responsible for developing templates and ensuring regular maintenance of IT documentation.
  • Translates technical and/or complicated information into clear, concise documents appropriate for various target audiences.
  • Interviews subject matter experts and technical staff to collect information, prepare written text, and coordinate layout and material organization.
  • Researches information such as diagrams, inventories, equipment and test specifications, etc. to fill any gaps.
  • Reviews and edits documentation including design documents, developer notes and system overviews.
  • Responsibilities may include maintenance of internal documentation library, and providing and/or coordinating special documentation services as required.
Required Skills:
  • Strong IT knowledge and background
  • Experience in participating and leading document walkthroughs involving editing and mark-up during the walkthrough
  • 3 to 5 years of business or technical writing experience
  • Proven experience writing standard operating procedures
  • Proven experience developing key performance indicators
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Project management skills or experience are a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or another related field
