Qualifications & Requirements
  • Post-secondary education with a specialization in a technical discipline is preferred
  • Extensive experience working in a Business Analyst capacity on entire PLC's
  • Cross-organization/cross-function project management and collaboration skills.
  • Proven experience in learning new technologies and tools at a rapid pace
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong collaborative business and technology relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse and geographically-dispersed group of project stakeholders, Service Groups, Business System Owners and subject matter experts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to work independently on multiple simultaneous initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with collaboration technologies is an asset
The Business Analyst is responsible for providing appropriate business analysis activities to support Technology Services project delivery. This role requires a results-oriented individual with a passion for collaboration, strong communication skills and excellent team-building that drives business results.

  • Contribute to the development of project definition and scope with applicable business and technology stakeholders; helping senior-level management make informed decisions about initiatives
  • Support the Work stream lead and Project Manager in identifying the financial, technical and human resources required to complete projects
  • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution
  • Leads testing efforts
  • Updates documentation based on feedback collected from various stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality
  • Accountable for the analysis process and deliverables for all assigned projects from initiation through closure
    • Contribute to the development of project risk mitigation plans and the maintenance of Risk, Actions, Issues and Decision documentation
    • Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational change
