Our client, a leading medical technology company is looking for a Human Resources Assistant. This is for an initial duration of 12 months and is located in Sandy, UT
Position Summary:
  • This position reports to the Sr. HR manager for the Client sandy site.
  • This position assists with all payroll related assignments including payroll processing and timekeeping for Sandy's Hourly Population (+900 associates) while also supporting a broad range of human resources activities including new hire orientation, associate file maintenance, projects and administrative duties as needed.
Job Duties:
Payroll Focus –
  • On time submission of payroll weekly
  • Partner with departmental timekeepers to ensure accuracy of records daily (lates/early ins/early outs/schedule/transfer updates/accrual profiles in ADP eetime)
  • Prepare payroll related reports as needed
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, and internal policies
  • Ensure new hires, shift changes etc. are entered correctly in timekeeping system
HR Focus –
  • Coordinate all new hire orientation activities including facilitating/ presenting new hire orientation
  • Manage I9 processing for new hires
  • Assist with onboarding activities for new hires
  • Maintain all associate files including assisting the Occupational Health Nurse with medical files
  • Run standardize monthly reports from HRIS system (Workday) for HR staff and prepare various monthly required reports for department
  • Assists in preparing for any training related courses including scheduling, materials and communications
  • Assists in any projects or tasks as requested by completing timely, accurately and in an organized fashion
  • Assists with on-site hiring fairs as needed
  • Manages office supplies for the department
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year of either payroll processing, accounting/ bookkeeping, or Human Resources experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload
  • Accurate, detailed-oriented and conscientious
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Will drive required tasks through completion, i.e.: “no excuses” mindset
  • Solid analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail and the ability to learn, adapt quickly and build relationships
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and intermediate skills in other MS applications
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with ADP and/or Workday
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
